Since Tarkenton Financial’s inception in 2003, Chris Barnes has played a key role in the company’s growth and success. As Senior Vice President of Annuity Sales, he has helped shape the company’s direction, always guiding advisors with expertise, integrity, and a commitment to doing what’s right.

Chris is also one half of “Team CC” along with his colleague Christine Cleary, VP of Annuity Sales & New Business. Together, they serve their team of advisors by helping them grow through annuity sales, practice management, and marketing support.

Originally from Philadelphia, Chris lives by a personal motto that defines both his work and his life: Always do what is right, care for others, and always do your very best, no matter what it is. Advisors know him as a dedicated partner who brings energy, care, and experience to every conversation.

Away from the office, Chris stays true to his lifelong passion for sports. A standout four-sport athlete in college, he continues to enjoy golf and ice hockey. His wife, Kimi, shares that enthusiasm with her own love for golf, softball, and soccer. Together, they balance their active lifestyle while raising their three children.
